How early do you put up your Christmas decorations? And when do you take them down?

I am a crazy Christmas decorating NUT. With, that said, I used to put up my trees, 2, until a scant years ago, right around Thanksgiving. We have a plenty of room for lots of trees now, and I like to theme them- so I usually start early. (My family hates me for this, I think) If I wasn’t going to Disney World, a few days after Thanksgiving, I would initiate probably next weekend. I know- but I have 6, inside. A Santa tree, a girly Audrey Heburn tree, an Angel tree, a Kitchen tree, with dried oranges, handmade gingerbread men, cinnamon sticks, and utensils, etc, a Disney tree, and an everything tree.
We have more lights than Clark Griswold, not to mention, Mickey and Goofy 4 ft tall lights to position up, wreaths, Doorway garland inside and out, 2 fireplace mantles, countless figures, poinsettias, Nativity sets-I really love Christmas. Lol It just takes too long to only do it for a few weeks.
My goal, is to get two trees, up before we leave the day after Thanksgiving, and then do the rest when we get home- December 1, lights will proceed up that weekend. If we were not going to Disney, I would be begging and get

When Do Christmas Decorations Go Up at Disney World in 2025?

When it comes to the holidays at Walt Disney World, there are three questions we acquire more than any others. One of those is “when will Christmas decorations go up in the parks & resorts?” That’s what we’ll answer in this post. (Updated July 11, 2025.)

As people plan their Christmas trips months in advance, it makes sense that this would be important information. This year, Walt Disney World officially kicks off Christmas on November 14, 2025. However, there are a couple of big exceptions to this that have already created confusion about when the holiday season will actually start and the parks will be decorated for Christmas.

When Does Disney World Decorate For Christmas?
Magic Kingdom is the first place to get a Disney World Christmas transformation in early November. Almost overnight Magic Kingdom turns from spooky to festive when transitioning from Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party.
The last Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party is October 31, 2025 which means Magic Kingdom holiday decorations should begin appearing around November 1, 2025.
