Disney: Outfits + Tips
I feel enjoy there are two kinds of people when it comes to Disney. You are either a Disney person or you are not. You can either spot past the long lines, the sweat, the crowds the $10 ice creams and $45 bubble fans for the priceless smiles on your kids’ faces, or you don’t. Prior to this trip I was the latter. If someone said “Disney”, I inhaled, my nose flared and my eyes rolled. I’ll chalk it up to a prior Disney visit with four kids under 10 (one with a broken arm), where I showed up with high expectations and zero research. Spoiler, you can’t just show up at Disney and have a grand hour. There are a lot of things that Disney is: Disney is clean, Disney is organized, Disney is over the foremost in terms of the rides, the shows and the experiences. But Disney IS also very confusing. The apps, the Genie plus lines, the overwhelming amount of choices that can conduct to a bad combination of anxiety and FOMO… it’s a LOT to plan for but in order to have a great time, you need to put in the work (or have someone do it for you).
My BEST Disney advice is two-fold:
- Lower your expectations. Your kids will whine a I love packing for trips, but I'll admit, when I set out to packing for our first trip to Walt Disney World, I was stumped. Packing for a trip to Disney World?
Magic Kingdom, Beast's Castle (JSB)There's nothing better than a trip to Walt Disney World and, for me, personally, the planning is half the fun. I am absolutely the organizer in the group; the one in the group who's managing every reservation and herding us from one ride to the next, with planned snack stops. And though you'll certainly spend your days logging 20,000 steps in the Magic Kingdom, you'll likely spend your evening sampling Disney's luxurious dining options and relaxinWhat to Wear to Disney World for Moms
Cute Disney Outfits for Moms
Does anyone else ever google, “What to wear in Disney World,” or “What to wear on an airplane,” before going on vacation? I have literally searched, “Outfits to Wear to a Baseball Game” looking for inspiration. I know. I’m such a nerd. But I can’t be the only one because there are actual articles out there with those titles!
And now I’m writing one.
Because I know someone else out there is googling, “What to wear to Disney World for moms,” wanting to make sure they’re on the right track with their packing game.
I get it. You’re spending a ton on this trip, you’re going to take a thousand pictures, and you want to look at them for years to come and think, “dang, I looked cute.” Not to mention you want to feel comfortable being out in that Florida heat all day!
So here are my suggestions for what to wear to Disney World for moms.

Whether you’re a new mom or you’ve been a mom for a while, you do things differently in Disney World than non-moms.
That comes down to everything like how you plan your trip, how you plan your days, what you put in your day bag, and more. It also affects HOW you dress in Disney World, because moms know that practicality is EVERYTHING. So let’s talk about the mom dress code in Disney World because there certainly is one.

We spoke with several moms on the AllEars team and they certainly had opinions on what NOT to wear in Disney World. Alabaster pants or jeans (or anything) white can be a deadly option if you have minute ones. Our moms also said a big “NOPE” to overalls or rompers because trying to use the bathroom with a kid when you’re half-dressed and trying to keep your clothes off the bathroom floor is next to impossible in those outfits.
But when it came to what Moms wear to Disney World, we had some very helpful answers. Bags that can be hands-free are a must because you’ll need your hands to
About
Knowing what to pack for a vacation can always feel a little stressful, right? And packing for multiple days straight at a theme park where the weather can be alllll over the place can only compound that! We have had annual passes for two years now and have taken many morning trips with our two kiddos (4 and 2) on days with ALL kinds of weather. Cold, hot, rainy, muggy, you name it (except for snow)…we’ve experienced it at WDW. Chances are if you are reading this post, you already hold all of your kids outfits planned (and coordinated) but may be wondering what to wear yourself as the mom. I’ve put together this little reference to hopefully help give you an idea as to what the ideal pieces you depend on to have in your suitcase when you visit the Mouse’s house.
What is the dress at Disney?
Two words: Matching. T-Shirts. 😉 (Its not my thing but most people LOVE to possess the entire family in coordinating outfits)
First of all, Disney is VERY casual so unless you plan on sneaking away for an adult evening or a nice dinner, there is no need to bring multiple changes of clothes. You will likely sweat throughout the day unless you are visit during the winter
