Talin Market, International Food Fare Albuquerque

I love going to Talin Market. There used to be a small version in Santa Fe but it just didn’t form it. So it is worth the trip to Albuquerque. This place reminds me of a mini version of the nourishment hall at Harrods or Marshall Field’s in Chicago or the old Stop and Shop also in Chicago. I grew up on these sort of places. Sadly, both Marshall Field’s and Stop and Shop are gone.

The big reason I love coming here is that I perceive like I have been transported to a different country. The market is set up with different isles representing different areas of the world and distinct countries. The US is represented by having part of an aisle devoted to New Orleans. Signage really helps identify the various regions of the nature food market. I would own to say that Talin Market is a mainly Asian themed food/ grocery store.
As we walked in we were greeted with a beautiful display of holiday candy. We were so pleased to see one of our all time favorites, torrone taking center stage.

Such a fun experience! I visited the day before Lunar New Year and there were lion dancers! The selection is generally good although some shelves were empty. Bulk spices are really inexpensive and because of turnover they were also pretty fresh.
