A Suggested Plan of Study for Students

This roadmap assumes student  placement in MATH 1220G College Algebra and ENGL 1110G Composition I. The contents and order of this roadmap may vary depending on initial student placement in mathematics and English. It is only a suggested plan of study for students and is not intended as a contract. Course availability may vary from fall to spring semester and may be subject to modification or change.

Viewing a Wider World (VWW) Courses VWW courses are a university graduation requirement. You must pick two courses from two alternative colleges and outside of your department. If the course subject (e.g. ANSC, HLS, MGMT) is the same as your major courses, pick another class! For example, you may select one class from the College of Business as long as it is from a department other than your major. Make sure the course is not cross-listed with a course in the department of your major. For example WS 381V Women’s Health issues is cross-listed with HLS 381V. The list of Viewing a Wider World courses can be found in the catalog: http://catalog.nmsu.edu/ Select your catalog year and enter VWW in the search area, keep scrolling until your reach the VWW area. To find VWW courses in the online schedule, go to the Course Search screen on your myNMSU 1. Under the "Subject" heading either Select All courses OR CTRL, click just the subjects you want to see. 2. In the "Course Number" box, type in %%%V. (The % symbol is the wildcard symbol.) 3. Then click CLASS SEARCH 4. This seek will produce all VWW courses offered that semester.
