The Salisbury Museum, the Estate of Sir Terry Pratchett and Paul Kidby are delighted to present a new and exclusive exhibition ‘Terry Pratchett: HisWorld’. This will open at The Salisbury Museum on 16 September 2017 and run until 13 January 2018.

In a first for the museum, this major exhibition explores the life of Sir Terry Pratchett and will give a privileged insight into the man who created some of literature’s most enduringly popular fantasy worlds and characters.

Rob Wilkins, manager of Sir Terry’s estate said, ‘The global success of his work and the outpouring of affection for Terry during his life and after his death highlight the importance of this exhibition. Terry left behind so many words, into which this exhibition will provide a tantalizing window into their creator and the private space in which they were created.’

‘Terry relished the opportunity to connect with his readers and we have no doubt that this opportunity for visitors to immerse themselves wholly in his life and work, and to be able view some of his treasured possessions, from his Knightly sword to his Blue Peter badge, would have both delighted and amused him.’

The Hope of Elantris

**This review contains spoilers for Elantris and The Hope of Elantris**

“'Where were you during those last hours before Elantris was restored? I don’t remember anything of you for most of the night. In fact, the only time I remember seeing you is when you came to tell me that Sarene had been kidnapped and taken to Teod.'
'That’s true, Your Majesty,' Ashe said.
'So, where were you?'”

~ Exchange between Raoden and Ashe

This is such a heartwarming 25 pages. Although it doesn't add a lot to the story, and it was done sort of as fan service, I do think it is quite cute. During the events of Elantris, aon Ashe disappears for a segment during the final battle. This short story answers what it(?) was up to...

The story opens with Raoden talking with Ashe. Sarene is mentioned and I just devote how them together. I also love the atmosphere that I get whenever I read a Sel book. Sel is my favorite Cosmere planet, so whenever I get anything on it, I am really excited. I NEED Sanderson to write something new on it! I appreciate when an author puts out a short story that centers around a new character/different aspect of the world duri

New World review

Before I launch into my New Earth review, a brief history. Between the launch of The Burning Crusade expansion in January 2007 and the birth of my daughter about 18 months later, I poured around 1500 hours in World of Warcraft. It was something of an obsession for a time. It was my first MMO, and of course back then there weren’t quite so many to select from, so I stuck with it and nothing else. When I stopped playing (I actually quit, uninstalled it, and threw it in the wheelie bin outside), I felt a truthful loss that took a not many weeks to go away.

Since then I’ve merely dabbled in MMOs. From Neverwinter and Final Fantasy XIV, to Skyforge, TESO and Bless. I’ve jumped into them all feet first and hold always failed to stick the landing. I dropped out of FFXIV when my free month ran out and I was too tight to pay the sub, I gave up on TESO multiple times because I can never work out what the hell I’m supposed to do when I start. But for some reason, New Society is the one that appears to be sticking.

Amazon and on

Now, no one was expecting much here, let’s be honest. The spectacular failure of Amazon’s hero shooter, Crucible, hardly filled us all with
