This is such a heartwarming 25 pages. Although it doesn't add a lot to the story, and it was done sort of as fan service, I do think it is quite cute. During the events of Elantris, aon Ashe disappears for a segment during the final battle. This short story answers what it(?) was up to...
The story opens with Raoden talking with Ashe. Sarene is mentioned and I just devote how them together. I also love the atmosphere that I get whenever I read a Sel book. Sel is my favorite Cosmere planet, so whenever I get anything on it, I am really excited. I NEED Sanderson to write something new on it! Before I launch into my New Earth review, a brief history. Between the launch of The Burning Crusade expansion in January 2007 and the birth of my daughter about 18 months later, I poured around 1500 hours in World of Warcraft. It was something of an obsession for a time. It was my first MMO, and of course back then there weren’t quite so many to select from, so I stuck with it and nothing else. When I stopped playing (I actually quit, uninstalled it, and threw it in the wheelie bin outside), I felt a truthful loss that took a not many weeks to go away.
Since then I’ve merely dabbled in MMOs. From Neverwinter and Final Fantasy XIV, to Skyforge, TESO and Bless. I’ve jumped into them all feet first and hold always failed to stick the landing. I dropped out of FFXIV when my free month ran out and I was too tight to pay the sub, I gave up on TESO multiple times because I can never work out what the hell I’m supposed to do when I start. But for some reason, New Society is the one that appears to be sticking.
